Youngsters
Fiesta Cristiana's youth ministry aims to reach middle and high school students to receive faith formation, success in school, and support toward higher education. Fiesta Youth is led by Hispanic young adults who are members of Fiesta Cristiana's internship program.
Bible Studies
We offer Bible studies for middle and high school youth. Studies are held every Sunday from 9:45 - 10:45 am at the Discipleship Center where they study the Word and have group fellowship.
Confirmation Classes
Confirmation seeks to provide young people with a systematic overview of the faith: our identity, our history and heritage, our practices, and our beliefs. This will include both our heritage and our practices as a Christian community and as a United Methodist Family, as well as our basic beliefs and commitments. In addition, young people will learn what it means to live the Christian life and participate in the mission of the church in the world. For youth in grades 12 through XNUMX.
Opportunity to Serve in Worship Services
As part of their leadership and discipleship, young people have the opportunity to serve during worship services, including music, audiovisual, liturgical acts, children's Bible school teachers, among others.
Community Service Opportunity
As part of their leadership and discipleship, youth have the opportunity to serve in community outreach activities including food distribution, vaccination campaigns, the Latino Arts Festival, among others.
Youth council
The Youth Council is a new initiative at Fiesta Cristiana, which is made up of several members of the youth group “Fiesta Youth.” Its main objective is to develop leaders who can be the voice of communication for the youth of Fiesta Cristiana and the community.
Building Positive Relationships with Other Churches and Institutions
Fiesta Youth participates with various churches and institutions which gives young people the opportunity to fellowship, socialize and develop a network of friends in the faith and leadership development. At the same time, events such as worship nights, bonfires, bowling nights, among other fun activities arise for our young people to participate in.
Retreats
We offer youth retreats every year with the goal of helping young people develop spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Each year, the retreats offer different opportunities where young people can deepen their faith, fellowship, explore nature, discuss social issues, and discover the best version of themselves. As a result, Fiesta Youth retreats create a positive impact in the lives of our young people and in this way we are able to plant a seed of faith in their lives.
Preparing for University
At Fiesta Youth, we firmly believe in the importance of primary, secondary, and higher education. That is why we work with volunteers, institutions, and parents to offer talks, tutoring, FAFSA training, tips, and information about universities with the purpose of preparing young people and helping them to continue their higher education. Fiesta Cristiana's PREPA program provides a road map for this journey.
